“Are you ever going to take me seriously?” I asked, leaning back against the kitchen counter, arms crossed. Jamie was stirring a pot of what smelled like burnt garlic, humming off-key to some obscure indie band. He’d ignored my last three questions, probably on purpose.
He turned, a grin spreading across his face, and wiped a smudge of flour from my cheek with his thumb. “Seriously? My love, I take you very seriously. Seriously enough to cook you a meal, even after you hid all my clean socks this morning.”
“They were restricting your creative flow,” I deadpanned, pushing off the counter and walking over to inspect his concoction. “And this looks… rustic. What is it, exactly?”
He draped an arm over my shoulder, pulling me close. “It’s pasta primavera, with a secret ingredient. Your favorite.”
I peered into the pot. “Is the secret ingredient ‘charred’?”
He squeezed me playfully. “Just a little browning for flavor. Don’t be such a menace.”
“Menace is my middle name,” I said, already reaching for a small spoon. I dipped it into the sauce, blew on it dramatically, and took a tiny taste. My eyes widened. “Oh. Actually, that’s… surprisingly good.”
Jamie’s chest vibrated with a low chuckle. “See? A little faith, a little trust. Now, go set the table. And try not to rearrange the silverware into a smiley face this time.”
I blew him a kiss. “No promises, captain.”
He watched me go, his eyes crinkling at the corners. He knew exactly what he was getting into when he’d asked me to move in. He’d even said, once, that my particular brand of chaos was what kept things interesting. But sometimes, even ‘interesting’ had its limits. And sometimes, I liked pushing those limits just to see what would happen.
Dinner was a surprisingly pleasant affair, despite my best efforts to critique every ingredient. Jamie just sat there, a slight smile playing on his lips, letting me ramble. When I finally ran out of steam, he leaned forward. “All done?”
“For now,” I admitted, picking at a stray piece of basil. “What’s on the agenda for tonight?”
“Well,” he began, his voice dropping an octave, “I was thinking we could finally watch that documentary you’ve been talking about.”
I narrowed my eyes. “The one about the migration patterns of rare Antarctic penguins?”
“The very same.” He seemed entirely serious, which only made me more suspicious. Jamie hated documentaries. He claimed they made him feel ‘under-educated’ and ‘sleepy’.
“You’re messing with me,” I stated, a slow grin spreading across my face. “You want to watch the new sci-fi action flick, don’t you?”
He sighed dramatically. “Alright, you caught me. But only if you promise to be good.”
“Good?” I scoffed. “What’s the fun in that?” I stood up, clearing our plates, and bumped his hip with mine. “I’ll be as good as I want to be.”
Later, curled up on the sofa, the movie credits rolling, I felt a familiar urge to stir things up. Jamie was half-asleep, his head tilted back against the cushion, a content expression on his face. Too content. He needed a wake-up call.
I reached over and subtly untied the drawstring on his pajama bottoms. He stirred, his eyes fluttering open. “What was that?”
“What was what?” I asked innocently, batting my eyelashes. My hand, however, was still lingering on his waistband. He looked down, then back at me, a slow understanding dawning in his eyes.
“You’re a menace,” he said, but there was no real heat in his voice. He reached for my hand, intending to move it, but I was quicker. I slipped my fingers inside his pants, grazing his skin.
He stiffened, his breath catching. “Hey now. We just had dinner.”
“So?” I whispered, leaning in, my lips brushing his ear. “Dessert is always better when it’s forbidden.”
He pulled away slightly, a flicker of something intense in his eyes. “You’re playing with fire, little one.”
“I like fire,” I retorted, my fingers tracing the line of his hip bone, heading lower. He shifted uncomfortably, a groan escaping his lips.
“Stop,” he said, his voice a little strained. “Or I swear, I’ll… I’ll tickle you until you beg for mercy.”
I giggled, my hand still exploring. “You wouldn’t dare. You know I hate being tickled.”
“Exactly,” he said, a dangerous glint in his eyes. He grabbed my wrist, pulling my hand out from his pajamas. But instead of letting go, he held it, his thumb stroking my pulse point. “I’m warning you.”
I just smiled, a challenging smirk. “Warn all you want, big guy. Doesn’t mean I’ll listen.”
He released my hand, then swiftly grabbed me around the waist, pulling me onto his lap. My legs dangled over the armrest. He didn’t tickle me. Instead, he just held me, his arms firm, his gaze locking with mine. “What do you want, Maya?” he asked, his voice low and serious. “What are you trying to do?”
My breath hitched. He always knew. He always saw through the games. “I don’t know,” I mumbled, suddenly feeling a little exposed. “Just… having fun.”
“Fun?” he repeated, a brow arching. “Or are you testing me? Seeing how far you can push before I finally lose my patience?”
I looked away, fiddling with a button on his shirt. “Maybe a little of both.”
He tilted my chin up, forcing me to meet his gaze. “You know I have a breaking point, right? You know that sometimes, I just want you to listen, to follow, to let me take charge.”
“I know,” I whispered. And I did. But there was something undeniably thrilling about pushing him, about dancing on the edge of his control. It made the moments he finally took over even more potent.
“Good,” he said, his eyes darkening. “Because you’re about to find out what happens when you push me too far.”
He stood up abruptly, still holding me in his arms. I let out a surprised squeak, clutching onto his shoulders. He carried me into the bedroom, not saying a word. The silence was thick with unspoken tension, with the promise of what was to come.
He set me down on the bed, not gently, but not roughly either. Just… decisively. He didn’t release me immediately. His hands remained on my waist, holding me captive. He leaned in close, his mouth hovering inches from mine. “You think this is a game, don’t you?”
My heart was pounding. “It’s… it’s a little bit of a game,” I admitted, my voice barely a whisper.
“Well, the game’s over,” he said, his lips brushing mine. “And I win.”
His kiss was not soft or teasing. It was demanding, a statement. He claimed my mouth with a hunger that made my knees weak. I gasped into the kiss, my hands instinctively going to his hair, clutching at the strands. He tasted like red wine and the faint ghost of garlic, and something else – something uniquely Jamie, something that made my insides clench.
He pulled back, just enough to look into my eyes, his chest heaving. “You like to be in control, don’t you, little terror?”
I swallowed, my throat suddenly dry. “Sometimes.”
“Not tonight,” he declared, his voice rough. He pinned my wrists above my head with one hand, his other hand going to the hem of my t-shirt. He tugged it up, slowly, deliberately, until it was over my head. My arms were trapped, my chest exposed. I shivered, not from cold, but from the sudden vulnerability.
“Jamie,” I breathed, a hint of protest in my voice. But even as I said it, a thrill shot through me. This was exactly what I’d been craving, what I’d been pushing for.
He leaned down, his mouth tracing a hot path down my neck, over my collarbone, until he reached the swell of my breast. He nipped gently at the lace of my bra, then pulled back, his eyes dark with desire. “You like to make me wait, don’t you?”
I bit my lip. “It’s… fun.”
“Not for me,” he growled. He made quick work of my bra, tossing it aside. Then he went for my pajama shorts. I instinctively tensed, but he just gave me a look that said, ‘don’t even think about it.’ The shorts were off in a flash, leaving me in nothing but a tiny pair of underwear.
He stood back, his eyes raking over my body, a possessive gleam in them. I felt a blush creep up my chest and neck. I suddenly felt very small, very exposed, and utterly helpless. And a part of me, the part that loved to push boundaries, was absolutely electric.
He climbed onto the bed, positioning himself over me, his weight pressing me into the mattress. He didn’t touch me, not yet. He just hovered, his gaze burning into mine. “What are you going to do now, little rebel?”
I tried to muster some defiance. “I’m… I’m going to make you beg.”
He barked out a short, humorless laugh. “Oh, no, you’re not. Tonight, you’re going to be a good girl. You’re going to do exactly what I tell you.”
My eyes widened. This was new. He was usually more playful, more… collaborative. This level of command was thrilling and a little terrifying. “And if I don’t?”
He leaned down, his lips brushing my ear. “Then you’ll find out just how patient I can be.” His hand drifted down my side, settling on my hip, his thumb tracing the curve of my skin. “And how good I am at making you want what I want.”
He moved slowly, deliberately, his every touch a calculated move. He kissed me again, a deep, bruising kiss that left me breathless. His hand moved from my hip, sliding lower, until his fingers brushed the soft hair between my legs. I gasped, arching into his touch.
“See?” he murmured against my lips. “Already listening.”
He continued his slow assault, his lips on my neck, his tongue tracing patterns on my skin, his fingers exploring. He wasn’t rushing, he wasn’t demanding. He was simply… taking his time, building the tension, making me ache for more. Every time I thought he was about to give me what I desperately wanted, he’d pull back, just slightly, and move to another spot, leaving me frustrated and desperate.
“Jamie,” I pleaded, my voice hoarse, “please.”
He paused, his eyes gleaming in the dim light. “Please what, Maya? Please let you have your way? Please let you take control again?”
“No,” I whispered, shaking my head. “Please… please just… don’t stop.”
He smiled, a slow, predatory smile. “Good girl. Now, tell me what you want.”
It was a struggle to get the words out, but I knew I had to. He wasn’t going to let up until I surrendered. “I want… I want you to…” My voice trailed off, embarrassed.
He leaned in, his voice a low growl. “Tell me. I want to hear it.”
“I want you to… fuck me,” I finally blurted out, my face burning. “Please.”
He let out a satisfied sigh, and finally, he moved. He pushed my underwear aside, his fingers finding my wetness, teasing, circling. My hips bucked, desperate for contact. He chuckled, a deep, throaty sound that resonated through my entire body.
“Not yet,” he whispered. “You’ve been a very naughty girl. You need to be punished first.”
My eyes shot open. “Punished?”
He nodded, his gaze unwavering. “You like to test limits, don’t you? You like to see how far you can push me.” His fingers pressed a little harder, finding a sensitive spot that made me whimper. “Well, tonight, we’re going to see how far you can be pushed.”
He didn’t use his fingers. Instead, he leaned down, his mouth taking over, his tongue a hot, insistent presence. I cried out, my body arching off the bed. This was beyond anything I’d expected, beyond anything I’d dared to hope for. He wasn’t just satisfying me; he was dominating me, making me utterly his.
My hands, which had been pinned above my head, now reached for his hair, pulling, clutching, desperate for purchase. My legs wrapped around his waist, squeezing, trying to pull him closer. I was a tangled mess of limbs and raw desire, completely at his mercy.
He continued his ministrations, not letting up, not even for a second. I was writhing, my breath coming in ragged gasps, my mind a blur of sensation. I could feel the tension building, tightening, spiraling higher and higher until I thought I would shatter.
“Jamie!” I screamed, my voice raw. “Please! I can’t—I can’t take anymore!”
He lifted his head, his eyes blazing, a triumphant smirk on his face. “Oh, yes, you can, my little hen. You can take whatever I give you.” And then he plunged back down, his tongue working its magic until my entire body convulsed. I screamed again, a long, drawn-out cry, as pleasure ripped through me, tearing me apart and putting me back together again.
I lay there, panting, my body throbbing, my mind a blank slate. He slowly moved up, pressing a soft kiss to my forehead. “See?” he whispered, his voice thick with desire. “Wasn’t that better than being good?”
I could only nod, tears pricking at the corners of my eyes. He was right. It was so much better. The release, the surrender, the absolute dominance… it was exactly what I’d been subconsciously craving.
He moved between my legs, his body heavy and warm against mine. I opened my eyes, meeting his. There was still that possessive glint, but now it was softened by tenderness, by affection. He kissed me, a soft, lingering kiss that promised more, but in a different way.
“Ready to be a good girl now?” he asked, his voice a low rumble against my ear.
I shook my head, a small smile playing on my lips. “Never. But I might be willing to compromise. For the right price.”
He chuckled, a genuine, full-bellied laugh. “Always a negotiator, aren’t you? Fine. How about this: I’ll let you be as bratty as you want during the day, as long as you remember who’s in charge when we’re in here.” He pressed into me, slowly, deliberately, and I gasped at the feeling of him filling me.
“Deal,” I breathed, my hips arching up to meet his rhythm. “But don’t think for a second I’m going to make it easy for you.”
He pulled back slightly, his eyes sparkling with amusement. “Wouldn’t have it any other way, my little menace. Wouldn’t have it any other way.” And then he began to move, slowly at first, then picking up pace, driving into me with a raw power that left no room for defiance. I clung to him, my body responding to his every thrust, every touch. The teasing, the games, the rebellion – it all melted away, leaving only the fierce, raw pleasure of being utterly, completely taken. And for now, that was more than enough. My body hummed with the aftershocks of our encounter, a deep, resonant satisfaction that settled into my bones. He was still inside me, heavy and comforting, his breath warm on my neck. I shifted, nuzzling into his shoulder.
“You know,” I murmured, my voice raspy, “you really are good at this.”
He squeezed me tighter. “Good at what? Taming you?”
“No,” I corrected, a lazy smile spreading across my face. “Good at making me forget all my carefully constructed plans to annoy you.”
He laughed softly, the sound vibrating through my chest. “Mission accomplished, then.” He kissed the top of my head. “But don’t worry. I have a feeling you’ll find new ways to be a pain in my ass by morning.”
“You know me so well,” I sighed contentedly, already drifting off. I might be a brat, a menace, a little terror, but I was his. And tonight, he’d reminded me, in the most delicious way possible, that even the wildest creatures sometimes crave a firm hand. The thought sent a final shiver of pleasure through me, and I settled deeper into his embrace, already plotting my next move.
