Unruly Desire

Brat 11 min read 2793 words

“You’re really going to wear that?” Mark’s voice was flat, betraying the irritation he was trying to hide. He leaned against the doorframe of our bedroom, arms crossed, watching me in the mirror.

I turned slowly, letting the short, red silk slip hug my curves. It was practically lingerie, not really a dress. And that was the point. “What’s wrong with it?” I asked, batting my eyelashes innocently. It was Friday night, we had reservations at that new Italian place, and I knew exactly what he expected me to wear: the sensible black dress he liked, maybe the navy one. Something respectable. Something that didn’t scream, *look at me, I just rolled out of bed and forgot my pants.*

“Sarah.” He sighed, running a hand through his hair. “It’s… short. And sheer. And we’re going to a nice restaurant, not a club.”

I pouted, adjusting a strap. “But it’s *comfortable*. And it’s a celebration, isn’t it? For your big promotion? Shouldn’t we be… festive?” I spun around, letting the silk swish. It barely covered my butt, and I knew it. He knew I knew it. That was the game.

“Festive, yes. Indecent, no.” He pushed off the doorframe and walked over, his eyes scanning my outfit, or lack thereof. He stopped close behind me, his reflection joining mine. His hand reached out, his fingers brushing the exposed skin of my back, just above the slip’s hem. A tiny shiver went through me, despite my efforts to remain composed.

“It’s not indecent,” I whispered, leaning back slightly into his touch. “It’s fashion.”

He scoffed softly, his breath warm against my neck. “Fashion that’ll have every guy in the restaurant staring at you.”

“So? Let them stare,” I said, trying to sound nonchalant. Inside, a little flutter of excitement began. This was what I lived for – pushing him, testing his limits, seeing that flicker of possessiveness in his eyes. He was usually so controlled, so even-keeled. I loved to crack that facade.

His hands slid from my back to my hips, pulling me gently against him. I could feel the hard line of his body through my flimsy silk. “You know I don’t like it when other men look at you like that,” he murmured, his voice a low growl that always made my knees a little weak.

“Oh, really?” I turned in his arms, facing him, my hands resting on his chest. His shirt was crisp, his tie perfectly knotted. He looked like the picture of executive calm. Except for the darkening storm in his eyes. “Is that jealousy I detect, Mark?”

He narrowed his eyes. “It’s common sense. And a preference for my girlfriend not to be mistaken for an escort.”

I gasped, a fake, dramatic sound. “How dare you! This is designer silk!” I pushed against his chest playfully, but he didn’t budge. He just held me tighter.

“Change, Sarah,” he said, his voice firm now, losing its playful edge. “Or we’re not going out.”

My smile faltered. He rarely pulled that card. Usually, he’d grumble, maybe throw a mild fit, and then we’d go, him shooting daggers at anyone who dared glance my way. This was different. He meant it. And that, surprisingly, made me want to push even harder.

“Fine,” I said, pulling away, my lips in a tight line. “If you want to be boring, I’ll be boring.” I stomped over to my closet, yanking out the sensible black dress he favored. It was a perfectly nice dress, elegant even. But tonight, it felt like a prison sentence. I threw it on the bed, then turned to face him, arms crossed. “Happy?”

He watched me, his expression unreadable. He still hadn’t moved from the spot where I’d left him. “Not yet,” he said, his eyes lingering on the red slip. “But we’re getting there.”

I huffed, then snatched the black dress and disappeared into the bathroom to change. The silence that followed was thick, punctuated only by the rustle of fabric. When I emerged a few minutes later, dressed appropriately, he was gone from the bedroom. Of course he was. He was already downstairs, probably checking his watch, expecting me to be on time. I deliberately took my time with my shoes, applying a touch more lipstick than necessary. He could wait.

Dinner was… tense. He made polite conversation, asked about my day, talked about his promotion. He even managed a few strained smiles. But his eyes kept flicking to mine, a question, or maybe a warning, lurking in their depths. I ate my pasta slowly, savoring each bite, but my mind was elsewhere, replaying the scene in the bedroom. He had been serious. And that was both annoying and, admittedly, a little bit thrilling.

“Are you still mad about the dress?” I asked, halfway through dessert, finally breaking the unspoken truce.

He put down his fork, his gaze steady. “I’m not mad. I’m… disappointed that you would deliberately try to provoke me, knowing how I feel about these things.”

“It’s just a dress, Mark,” I said, trying to sound reasonable. “And it’s my body. I should be able to wear what I want.”

“And I should be able to enjoy a nice dinner with my girlfriend without feeling like I need to defend her honor,” he retorted, his voice rising a fraction. Heads turned at a nearby table. I lowered my voice.

“It’s not about honor, it’s about control,” I accused, a little too loudly. “You just want to control what I wear, what I do, how I act.”

He leaned forward, his voice a low, dangerous rumble. “Don’t push me, Sarah. Not tonight.”

But pushing him was my specialty. It was how I knew he cared, how I knew I still had an effect on him. If he stopped reacting, stopped getting riled up, then what would we have? Just… polite conversation? I shuddered at the thought.

“Or what?” I challenged, meeting his gaze head-on. “Are you going to send me to my room without dessert?”

A muscle in his jaw clenched. He stared at me for a long moment, then pushed his plate away. “Let’s go,” he said, his voice clipped. He didn’t wait for me to finish my tiramisu. He stood, threw some cash on the table, and walked out. I scrambled to gather my things, feeling a blush creep up my neck as I followed him, acutely aware of the glances we were getting.

The drive home was silent. He kept his eyes on the road, his knuckles white on the steering wheel. I snuck glances at his profile, wondering if I’d gone too far this time. There was a hard edge to him tonight that I hadn’t seen in a while. A part of me, the smarter part, wanted to apologize, to smooth things over. But the other part, the bratty, rebellious part, wanted to see where this would go.

We pulled into the driveway. He killed the engine, but didn’t move. The silence stretched, heavy and uncomfortable. I finally broke it. “Mark, look, I’m sorry. Maybe I was being a little… over the top.”

He turned to me, his eyes dark in the dim light from the streetlamp. “A little? Sarah, you actively tried to ruin our evening. My promotion, remember? Something we’ve been working towards for months.”

“I didn’t *try* to ruin it,” I protested, though a small voice in my head told me I had. “I just… I like to have fun. I like to see you react.”

“You like to see me react?” He repeated slowly, a dangerous calm in his voice. “You like to push me until I snap? Is that what this is?”

I didn’t answer. My silence was answer enough. He leaned closer, invading my space. “So, you enjoy the chase. The defiance. The game.”

My heart started to pound. This wasn’t the usual annoyance. This was something deeper, something more intense. “Sometimes,” I admitted, my voice barely a whisper.

He reached out, his fingers tracing the line of my jaw. It wasn’t a gentle touch. It was possessive, almost bruising. “And what happens, Sarah, when I stop playing your game? When I decide to take charge instead?”

I swallowed hard. “I… I don’t know.” The truth was, the thought was terrifying and thrilling all at once.

He didn’t say anything else. He just leaned in and captured my mouth in a bruising kiss. It wasn’t tender or sweet. It was demanding, punishing. His tongue tangled with mine, asserting dominance, leaving no room for argument. I gasped, surprised, but found myself responding, a deep, animalistic part of me stirring to life.

He pulled away, his eyes blazing, and then got out of the car. I watched him stalk to the front door, unlock it, and disappear inside. I sat there for a moment, my lips tingling, my mind reeling. He was really angry. And something inside me, the part that loved the thrill of the chase, was absolutely buzzing.

I followed him inside, finding him in the living room, loosening his tie. He didn’t look at me. “Go to bed, Sarah,” he said, his voice flat. “I’m not in the mood.”

“Not in the mood?” I scoffed, a new wave of defiance washing over me. After that kiss? He had to be. “After that little display in the car? Don’t tell me you’re not in the mood.”

He finally turned, his eyes piercing. “I said, go to bed. Alone.”

That stung. That really stung. It was a rejection, a clear boundary drawn. And for some reason, it made me even more determined. “No,” I said, stepping closer. “I don’t want to go to bed alone. I want to… I want you to finish what you started.”

He watched me, his chest rising and falling heavily. “You think this is a game, don’t you? You think you can push and push, and I’ll just roll over. Well, I’m done rolling over, Sarah. You wanted a reaction? You’re about to get one.”

He took a step towards me, and then another, until he was directly in front of me. I stood my ground, my heart thumping, a mixture of fear and anticipation swirling within me. He reached out, not to touch me, but to grab the collar of my black dress. He pulled, hard. The fabric ripped, a loud, tearing sound that echoed in the quiet room. My eyes widened in shock.

“Mark!” I gasped, clutching at the torn fabric, suddenly feeling exposed. This was not playful anymore.

He ignored me. His hands moved to the zipper, yanking it down with brutal efficiency. The dress fell to the floor, pooling around my feet, leaving me standing in just my bra and panties. I shivered, suddenly acutely aware of his intense gaze.

“You wanted to be seen, Sarah?” he asked, his voice rough. “You wanted attention? You wanted to test my patience? Well, congratulations. You succeeded.”

He grabbed my arm, not roughly, but with an undeniable grip, and pulled me towards him. My body collided with his, and I could feel the heat radiating off him. He bent his head, his lips finding the sensitive skin of my neck, suckling hard, leaving a mark I knew would bloom into a bruise.

“Mark, wait,” I tried to protest, but my voice was weak, almost a whimper. The raw possessiveness was overwhelming, heady. It was exactly what I’d secretly craved, but it was also terrifying in its intensity.

He ignored my protest, his hand sliding down my back, pushing my panties aside, his fingers finding me, wet and ready. I gasped, my knees threatening to buckle. He didn’t stop there. He pushed a finger inside me, then another, stretching me, claiming me. I cried out, arching into his touch, my body betraying my mind.

“You like this, don’t you?” he murmured against my skin, his voice thick with desire. “You like it when I take what I want. When I don’t ask.”

“Yes,” I breathed, the word escaping before I could stop it. The admission felt like a surrender, a complete capitulation. And it was freeing.

He lifted me, my legs instinctively wrapping around his waist. He carried me into the bedroom, not bothering to turn on the lights. The moonlight streaming through the window cast long shadows across the room. He didn’t gentle me onto the bed. He lowered me onto it, almost dropping me, and then followed, his weight pinning me to the mattress.

His mouth found mine again, this time with a raw hunger that stole my breath. His hands were everywhere, exploring, demanding, igniting every nerve ending. He tore off my bra, then his own clothes, until we were skin to skin, the friction of our bodies a sharp torment.

“You think you’re so clever, don’t you?” he whispered, his lips grazing my ear. “Always pushing, always testing. Well, tonight, I’m pushing back.”

He shifted, settling between my legs, pressing himself against me. I could feel his erection, hard and insistent, against my clit. A whimper escaped my throat. I was desperate for him, for this raw, unbridled passion he usually kept so carefully hidden.

“Beg,” he commanded, his voice rough. “Beg me to take you.”

My eyes snapped open. Beg? I had never begged for anything in my life. It went against every fiber of my being. But the look in his eyes, the absolute resolve, told me he meant it. He wouldn’t move until I did.

“Please, Mark,” I whispered, tears pricking my eyes, partly from frustration, partly from the overwhelming desire. “Please… I want you.”

He didn’t move. He just watched me, his breathing heavy. “That’s not begging, Sarah. That’s just asking nicely. You want to be a brat? Fine. But tonight, the brat gets disciplined.”

A new sensation, a hot flush of shame and excitement, spread through me. Discipline. The word hung in the air, heavy with unspoken promise. I bit my lip, my mind racing. He was serious. He was actually going to make me beg.

“Please, daddy,” I choked out, the word feeling foreign and forbidden on my tongue. The honorific had slipped out, born of pure desperation and the sudden, overwhelming need to surrender. It was a word we’d never used before, a boundary I hadn’t even realized existed until I’d crossed it.

His eyes widened slightly, a flicker of surprise, quickly replaced by something darker, deeper. A low growl rumbled in his chest. “There it is,” he said, his voice thick with triumph. “Good girl.”

And then he plunged into me, hard and fast, taking me completely. I cried out, a mix of pain and pleasure, my body arching off the bed. He didn’t ease up, didn’t slow down. He set a brutal rhythm, claiming me with every thrust, reminding me who was in charge. My nails dug into his back, my legs wrapped tighter around his waist, pulling him deeper.

I was a mess of gasps and moans, completely consumed by the sensation. The defiant part of me, the part that loved to push, was utterly silenced, replaced by a raw need for him, for this overwhelming possession. Each thrust took me higher, closer to the edge, until I was shaking, on the verge of breaking.

“Tell me you’re mine,” he demanded, his breath hot against my ear, as he continued his relentless pace.

“I’m yours,” I sobbed, tears finally escaping, rolling down my temples into my hair. “All yours, Mark.”

He intensified his thrusts, pushing me over the edge. My body convulsed, waves of pleasure washing over me, leaving me breathless and spent. He kept going, burying himself deep, pulling me back up for one last, shattering orgasm. When it was finally over, he collapsed on top of me, his body heavy and warm, our skin slick with sweat.

We lay there for a long time, the only sounds our ragged breaths. My body still thrummed, a sharp ache settling deep inside me. He finally stirred, lifting himself slightly, and looked down at me, his eyes softened, but still holding that intense glint.

“So,” he said, his voice a little hoarse. “Still want to play games, Sarah?”

I smiled, a slow, tired, utterly satisfied smile. “Maybe,” I whispered, then reached up and pulled his head down for a soft, lingering kiss. “But you’re definitely better at winning.”

He chuckled, a low, rumbling sound that vibrated through my chest. He kissed me back, gently this time, a promise of tenderness after the storm. He had called my bluff. He had taken charge. And in doing so, he had given me exactly what I secretly wanted. The brat in me had been thoroughly, deliciously disciplined. And I couldn’t wait to see what game we’d play next.
